Learning Objectives

A study from Israel reviewed the type of variant infecting vaccinated individuals during the dosage schedule and after the complete vaccination. 

In this video we will discuss the following topics:

  1. Study design.
  2. The SARS-COV-2 variant that infected vaccinated individuals while they were not fully protected.
  3. The SARS-COV-2 variant that infected fully protected vaccinated individuals. That is the variant infecting vaccinated individuals after two weeks of the second dose.
  4. We will also discuss a tweet by the researchers clarifying that no infection was observed by any of the SARS-COV-2 variants after the third week from the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
