* Differentiate somatic and autonomic efferent pathways.

* Understand autonomic system subdivisions: Enteric, parasympathetic, and sympathetic.

* Grasp ANS anatomical aspects: Cell body location, neuron length, neurotransmitters, ganglion location, and ramus type.

* Distinguish between sympathetic and parasympathetic systems: Neuron length and neurotransmitters.

* Understand functions of both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
