Dr. Faraaz Bhatti

Dr. Bhatti is an experienced emergency medicine attending/consultant physician with extensive training from both the United Kingdom (FRCEM and CCT) and the United States. He is currently the Chief Information Officer for Foundations of Emergency Medicine along with being a member of faculty for an Emergency Medicine training program. Over the span of Dr. Bhatti's career so far, he has been fortunate to lead multidisciplinary teams in an Emergency Department, ambulance and air ambulance services. Here, the focus was on systems and service development, change management and quality improvement. He was able to incorporate new services, protocols and processes by working with executive leadership and his clinical teams. He improved and implemented training programmes, published policies on the evolving and fluid COVID-19 challenges of early 2020, and developed new services in line with patient-centered evidence-based clinical medicine both in the Emergency Department and in the prehospital arena. He worked extensively with Human Resources and the C-suite on recruitment and retention, in a field well known for physician burnout. These were a few highlights among other key outstanding achievements. All in all, Dr. Bhatti is passionate about what he does. Like many emergency medicine colleagues, he has multiple interests, which he has utilized to add value to the work he enjoys doing.
