The connection between mindfulness and compassion is the foundation of emotional healing. Developing a sense of strong self awareness; that at the present moment you are struggling with feelings of being lost, inadequate along with other forms of stress (mindfulness) and responding with kindness and understanding (compassion). During this 4 week introductory course, meditation instructor Micah Anderson will teach the basics of mindfulness, defined as present-moment, kind awareness. Mindfulness can be cultivated both formally through meditation practice and informally by bringing more presence to our daily activities in an intentional way. Weekly classes will include guided meditations, teachings, and plenty of room for questions, authentic sharing, and curiosity. Come learn tools to help increase your human potential in a way which can foster depth and meaning in your day-to-day life.
Objectives
- Week 4: Mindfulness and Compassion: In this final wrap up session, learn how mindfulness can help us build both compassion towards ourselves and empathy towards others.
