There is a 50 % concordance rate in identical twins for Type 1 DM. There is a 90% concordance rate in identical twins for type 2 DM.///Epigentics play a role in type 1 via infections and autoimmune factors( 90 prevent with islet cell antibodies//viral infection preceedant. etc. //// The epigentic of feeding/exertion effects type 2 DM.
