As platelets have cd40 recerptors ,does this mean activated platelets are pro-inflammatory through the NFKappa Betta pathway?k

Nuclear factor kappa B, or more completely nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) is an important inflammatory pathway to learn. It is a set of proteins that make up a family of transcription factors to regulate genes involved in inflammation, immunity, and cell survival. It influences both the innate and acquired arm of our immune system. It plays and key role in regulating the survival, activation and differentiation of innate and adaptive immune cells. In healthy individuals, NF-κB activation is tightly regulated, with a quick response followed by deactivation. Chronic activation of NF-κB due to various factors like infections, toxins, or stress can lead to chronic inflammation.

Objectives:

Why is it called NF-κB?

Understanding the function of NF-κB.

Consequence of chronic activation of NF-κB.

Modulating NF-κB with supplements, lifestyle, food, and pharmaceutical therapies.
