Anthrax - Types, Signs and Symptoms, Labs, Prophylaxis, Treatment, Vaccination and Prognosis
Bacillus anthracis is a gram positive, rod-shaped bacteria. It causes anthrax that can be deadly in many cases. Let's review this pathogen, its properties, and the pathogenesis. In part 2 we will discuss the disease Anthrax and its management.
In the talk today, we will look at clinical signs and symptoms, therapeutic approach in light of CDC recommendations for the prophylaxis, treatment, and vaccination for the cutaneous, inhalational, disseminated, and gastrointestinal anthrax. We will also review the labs and imaging recommendations, differential diagnosis, and prognosis.
