As someone who has severe chronic asthma I wanted to share my experience. I participated in the NIH Severe Asthma Research Program (SARP). No meds just monitoring. Including bronchoscopy. I saw the PI (Dr Sally Wenzel) as a patient during the multi year study period. She recommended an open lung biopsy. Prior to the procedure I considered bronchial thermoplastic. In my case Docs thought BT would have been detrimental
